Only the highest grade titanium, which is free from impurities, is used on the Ultra Medalion. By using titanium in the main silencer sections, canister, and tip, the Ultra Medalion weighs a mere fraction of OEM exhaust systems.
For maximum durability , ultra lightweight thin wall SUS304 stainless steel exhaust piping was developed for use with the system.

Highest Grade Lightweight Ti construction:
Only the highest grade titanium is used on our system. Free from impurities, the titanium used on the canister, tip and inner silencer sections are both extremely lightweight and highly durable-- Titanium can be a difficult material to fabricate, and if impurities exist, welds can become brittle and break easily. The high quality of our Ti favors quality and durability so that the exhaust system may be used for extended periods for trouble-free operation.
Advantex Performance exhaust technology:
Advantex is a highly advanced muffler packing material that greatly excels over other packing material types such as loose packed fiberglass mats and composite cube types. Advantex internal packing material allows the muffler to reduce sound more, with less material, while maintaining extremely high flow characteristics. Highest Grade SUS304 Construction:
Tanabe was one of the first Japanese aftermarket companies to create full SUS304 stainless steel exhaust systems many years ago. The highest grade SUS304 stainless is used on all systems for maximum durability, as well as lightweight material. Our experience in developing SUS304 systems has allowed us to reach a high level of craftsmanship in this field. Ultra uses SUS304 piping hangars and flanges.
Weight Reduction - 1.2mm Thin Wall Piping:
Specially engineered for use on our exhaust systems, a piping wall diameter of 1.2mm was developed, which allowed weight to be significantly reduced, while remaining durable for extended usage. The piping SUS304 piping also plays a role in sound output, as it reduces resonation and helps our systems produce their trademark low, deep tone.
Weight Reduction - Hollow Exhaust Hanger:
Because every bit of weight savings is beneficial, exhaust hangers have hollow construction to reduce weight.
Weight Reduction - Pressed Flanges:
Further weight reduction is achieved and utilizes through the use of pressed SUS304 exhaust flanges on portions of the exhaust system.
Mid Air Exhaust Stay:
The mid-air stay reinforces the structure of the muffler, and also provides weight savings.
Straightest Form, Mandrel Bent:
Minimizing bends is a goal of each custom built Tanabe exhaust system. The truest form is realized to minimize restrictions and maximize usable power gains. Where necessary, the piping is mandrel bent for improved exhaust flow characteristics.
Removeable Silencer Included:
The removeable silencer reduces sound output to be well within 95db sound output regulations on street vehicles. Included with the exhaust system, the silencer installs and removes easily for various driving needs.
Streetable System - 95db Compliant, Quality Sound:
